Week 3

Great week, everyone!  First of all, you all got your scores to me on time.  YAY!   Thank you.  Let's keep it up!

We had many people bowl over 200 this week.  Kate and Joe led the pack once again, scoring 269 and 268 respectively.  They are tied for first place with 272.

Even with the flu, Adrienne managed a 248.  Impressive!  Cheryl and Roger had a great week, each posting a personal record.  Way to go!

Sharon had her highest score of the tournament with a 227, while Carter threw down a 214.  Charlotte posted a 205 and Tom had a 204.

What a stellar week!

To the rest of our participants, hang in there and keep bowling!  The regular season is just a tune-up for the big show - THE TOURNAMENT!  Keep practicing and you just might take home a trophy.

Week 2

Week 2 was a little crazy.  Some of our members had a hard time getting their scores in, for a variety of reasons.  Going forward, the deadline is going to be more firm, but these were extenuating situations.  We lost some members, got some members... it's crazy up in here!

In any event, the big news of the week is that Joe bowled a perfect game!

Way to go, Joe!  In keeping with their family competitiveness, his wife Kate bowled a 299.  They're keeping it close!

Everyone else - do not be disheartened!  I know that it must be frustrating to be bowling against people who are posting scores of 250+ each week.  Don't worry - I am going to fix it all at the end of the season.  Even though the scorekeeping is all together right now (It's much easier for me this way, and frankly - I'm lazy), I am going to divide the standings into groups and there will be a few winners.  This will also be helpful to you when it's time for the tournament.  Hang in there and keep bowling your best!

One way bowling is better than baseball - if you get 3 strikes, you're not out!

Week 1 - It's Deja Vu All Over Again

Welcome, fellow Wii bowlers!  Can you believe this is our 4th season?!?  Things are off to a great start!

This season things are going to be done a little differently.  Last year I divided everyone into groups based on average and basic ability.  This year we are all going to bowl in the same group (even our two brave kids!), but at the end of the season prizes will be given to a few people - not just our top scorer.  In addition, your average WILL be taken into account when organizing the end of season tournament.

This week's leaders are Joe and Kate, who just happen to be married to each other!  Each scored an impressive 248.  Way to go!

I am anticipating some fun theme weeks, so be ready to get a little crazy!  Please remember that the most important thing about our league is that you HAVE FUN!  Looking forward to a wonderful 6 weeks of league bowling and then our big tournament.  Grab your balls - it's time for bowling!
